Gopal Bhandari is a physicist, editor, author, researcher, and journalist. He was born in Pedang-1, Taplejung, and has passed SLC from Sinam Higher Secondary School, Taplejung, with District Topper.

He has completed I.Sc from Amrit Science Campus (ASCOL), Lainchaur, Kathmandu. He passed Bachelor of Science in Physics (B.Sc Physics) from Tri-Chandra College, Ghantaghar, Kathmandu, and a Master of Science in Physics (M.Sc Physics) from St. Xavier’s College, Kathmandu, Nepal.

He is also the author of 12 books on various subjects. He has written 9 books of Physics in Master Level. He has prepared and handover 10 research reports in various fields. He has written 4 research articles in scientific journals.

He has also written the research book about Constituent Assembly 2013. He is also the Author of MEHP’s Objective Physics for M.Sc Entrance Exam and GRE Physics. He has written and published more than 1000 articles in different magazines, journals, newspapers and online news portals in the fields of science and politics, etc.

He is the Founder and Chairperson of Research & Development Foundation. He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Nepalpatra and Science Infotech Online Media.

Bhandari has worked as a co-editor in Golden Scientific Age magazine from 2009 to 2010, as co-editor in RevoScience Magazine from 2012 to 2014, as editor-in-chief of Science Infotech online news portal from 2014 to 2017 and as editor-in-chief of Nepalpatra online magazine from 2017 till now.

He is a well-known name in Nepali media, having worked as a journalist for almost a decade.  His writings are focused on science, information, technology, development, social issues.  His interests include writing, editing, research, social activities, politics, travel, singing, speaking, science and technology, and photography. He has received two national science prizes from the Nepalese government, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology.
